This summer there will be a lot of events going down in the local hip-hop scene, I'm trying to organize a calendar of sorts (hit me if you want to get down) and I'm also having people post flyers to their events on my MySpace page... Take a look now.
Anyway, here's some new music:
"Hood Repper" - Innerstate Ike
"Just Wait" - Infinite Mindz feat Spellbinder (dude is a Denver legend...)
"Real" - Da Take Over Squad

Infinite Mindz...easily one of the best groups in the state....guess thats why they are nominated.
Franky Figgs....top 5 MC's in CO...hands down.
This song is banging...but not the most banging on the CD. Good looks for them and the Coagulated Recycles!
Hood Repper- Not bad, I liked the guitar sample and Ike's deliberate flow, some lines hit way harder than others, the problem with that style is that if even one line doesn't hit as hard as the others it really throws the flow off for me, Lil Wayne can do an entire mixtape in that real deliberate style but it's tough, I think Ike pulled it off well here though. There were a few times where I wanted to hear him flow more instead of relying on the echo punch ins but over all nice work.
Just Wait- Dope. I like pretty much anything Spellbinda does, that dude is that dude. I'Mindz has a great delivery but the lyrics got a little slow for me at times. The tone of his voice keeps the listener engaged but the lyrics lost me a little bit, but not for very long because Binda would jump back on and get the track open again. Nice work.
Real- Didn't like it, rhymes were muffled and didn't stand out to me at all, there are so many songs by so many heads about how real they keep things and it's like alright, you keep it real, we get it. There's nothing wrong with keeping it real, there's just nothing particularly interesting about it anymore. I dunno, not my cup of tea, and in case anyone wants to come on and say I don't like this because I don't like hood music please save it, it truly has nothing to do with that. I love hood music, I just didn't like this.

Tightest thing about the Infinity Minds track was the beat and Spellbinder, thats pretty much it.
Ike is very good at what he does, not my cup of tea but nonetheless he kills it.
Real was not very real or skilled in my eyes. Jus my opinion that you need to polish a lil more...
J.R.

Would like to hear more from them.
I.M. is hot. Spit flame like Dhalsim yo! lol. fa real though. like homie said, track is hot but not even close to the hottest lyrical shit they have dropped. Definitely agree that Spell made this particular track. Get that Monkey Rebellion Musik HOWEVER you gotta get it...
Infinite Mindz are deserving of props.
I really liked the track they did with SP Double. No dickriding, joint is a banger. Beat is one of the tightest SP has put together and I've heard a lot of his shit.
Peace and love,
Myth
Innerstate Ike, keep it coming homie good to see ya still shining as bright as ever!
